In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related other duties. In addition, you will be overseeing the billing function and small accounting team. Ideally you will bring experience managing billing, preferably in a healthcare setting, but open to industry. You will also help oversee accounts payable as well. This Accounting Manager role is a full-time employment opportunity, based in the Baltimore, Maryland area, and working in the office on a hybrid basis.Key responsibilities:- Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts- Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process and assisting as needed- Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation process- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, supporting them as the workload requires- Manage the billing process. Knowledge of medicare / medicaid billing is a plus, but not required. Open to any industry.- Assist Director with other responsibilities as neededOur client offers a comprehensive benefit and compensation plan. Must have supervisory experience, as well as experience overseeing billing, and ability to prepare accrual based financial statements as well.
