The Finance and Accounting Branch performs a vast array of financial services, including: ensuring the segregation of duties for strong internal controls; managing the requirements of both the internal and external financial audit requirements; oversight of the Unified Financial Management System; oversight of the reimbursable program; reviewing, processing, and certifying the validity of obligations; tracking invoices; reconciling accounts; processing travel authorizations and vouchers, etc.

As a Supervisory Budget Analyst, GS-0560-15, your typical work assignments may include the following:

  • Administering and managing all aspects of three major compensation programs comprised of the September 11th Victim Compensation Program involving $2.5 billion annually in expected payments; the Radiation Exposure Compensation Program involving $70 million annually in expected payments; and the Vaccine Compensation Program involving roughly $18 million annually in expected payments per year.
  • Providing oversight over a robust reimbursable program.
  • Reviewing, processing, and certifying obligations.
