Chargezoom Offers FreshBooks Integration | PYMNTS.com

Chargezoom, a billing and integrated payments service, announced an integration of its own Monday (Nov. 22) with the addition of FreshBooks accounting software to its platform, according to a press release.

“As the first two-way integrated payment platform for FreshBooks, users who select Chargezoom as their payment integration tool will benefit from freedom to choose virtually any payment processor with a seamless integration, including popular platforms such as Stripe, PayPal and Square,” the company said in the release.

Based in Irvine, California, the Chargezoom platform helps merchants ease the burden on their accounting teams by building time-saving automation and immediate payment reconciliations, the release stated.

“We are proud to be able to support FreshBooks users who are looking for expanded functionality and efficiencies with their payments,” said Chargezoom CEO Matt Dubois in the release. “Sending invoices and recording payments manually is costly to businesses and increases the risk of error. By connecting FreshBooks to Chargezoom, businesses can focus their time on tasks that are crucial to running and growing their businesses.”

With Chargezoom, FreshBooks users can process and accept payments through a cloud-based interface, meaning there’s no need to download or maintain software. The platform’s automatic reconciliation gives businesses “hours of their time back every week” while also making sure records are accurate and compliant with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), according to the release.

Based in Toronto, FreshBook has corporate clients in 160 countries, focusing on freelancers and smaller service providers. Last month, the company announced it would acquire German FinTech FastBill.

That announcement followed a $130 million Series E funding round that boosted the company’s valuation to $1 billion. At the time, FreshBooks said it would use the financing for acquisitions.

In June, FreshBooks announced a collaboration with the global credit control automation platform Chaser, allowing Chaser to carry out automated payments, with benefits that include new cloud-to-cloud integration between the companies, as well as automated and personalized invoice payments.
